How to Link to a PDF in Squarespace
What you’ll need: A PDF file to upload to your Squarespace site
There are a few options to link to a PDF in Squarespace 7.1, each outlined below.

Link in your menu (00:29)
1. Select pages from your main menu
2. Next to the text main navigation, click the plus sign +
3. Select Link from the more section
4. Click the gear icon to open your link options
5. Select the File option
6. Upload the PDF by dragging and dropping the file to where it says upload file
Optional: toggle on the open in new window option so the browser will load the PDF in a new window or tab
Link in your menu button (01:09)
1. From any page on your site select edit from the top left hand side of the site preview to enable edit mode
2. Hover over your site header until you can click on the button edit site header
3 Select elements from your site header menu
4. Toggle on the first option to enable the button
5. Click the gear icon to open your link options
6. Select the File option
7. Upload the PDF by dragging and dropping the file to where it says upload file
Optional: toggle on the open in new window option so the browser will load the PDF in a new window or tab
Standard button (02:04)
1. Select edit from the top left hand side of the site preview to enable edit mode
2. Insert a new button block or double click on an existing button
3. Under the link option on the content menu, click on the gear icon on the right
4. Select the File option
5. Upload the PDF by dragging and dropping the file to where it says upload file
Optional: toggle on the open in new window option so the browser will load the PDF in a new window or tab
On page form (02.30)
1. Select edit from the top left hand side of the site preview to enable edit mode
2. Insert a new form block or double click on an existing form
3. Under the content menu, click on the post submit option
4. Toggle on the option to redirect
5. Click on the gear icon next to the redirect URL space
6. Select the File option
7. Upload the PDF by dragging and dropping the file to where it says upload file
Optional: toggle on the open in new window option so the browser will load the PDF in a new window or tab
Text Link (02:50)
1. Highlight the text you want to link to the PDF
2. Select the link icon, after the italic option and before the left alignment option
3. Click on the gear icon on the right
4. Select the File option
5. Upload the PDF by dragging and dropping the file to where it says upload file
Optional: toggle on the open in new window option so the browser will load the PDF in a new window or tab
Important info: Other than the header menu button, these steps are the same to link to a PDF in Squarespace version 7
